Apichai Sakulsureeyadej is a major force in driving e-Tourism in Thailand and the ASEAN region today. An award winner for Thailand in the Information Technology field, Apichai was the first from Thailand to win an “Industrial Applications” category award in the Asia Pacific ICT Awards 2007.

Recently Apichai has won the Australian Embassy Entrepreneur Award 2014, Hewlett Partner of the Year 2014, and ASEANTA Excellence Award for Best Tourism Marketing within the region.

He is also Founder and the First President of the Tourism Technology Association, a historic collaboration of the most important government and private organizations in the Tourism and ICT industries, commonly working to strengthen the ASEAN region’s Tourism industry through research, innovations, and dialogues within the industries.

In the year 2010, Apichai initiated the First ASEAN ETRAVEL MART, which took place in the year 2011. The event was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Thailand, coorganized by ASEAN Tourism Association and was endorsed by the UNWTO and PATA Headquarters.

Apichai hold a Bachelors of Science degree from The University of Melbourne and is honored as a notable alumnus in Thailand.

Since the year 2000, Apichai runs MSL Software, a well-known software in Thailand, developing software for government organizations, multinational companies, banks, and is also involved in online tourism. Some of MSL Software’s
reputed clients list includes names such as the Bank of Thailand, Microsoft (Thailand), Toyota Motors Thailand, Ministry of Commerce Thailand, and several others.

To date, Apichai has been advisor to and ambassador for many key organizations that are Tourism and Information Technology related. He has been President of the Rotary Club of Bangkapi (2009-2010).

In 2011, the UNWTO affiliates program (PLATMA) published the first Tourism Technology Report, which included contribution from Apichai.
